Just got home from MotorEx, not a bad show this year. 8)
Met our intrepid Smooth Customs (Paul "I only have partial use of my right shoulder & a new tripod " Kelly) there and caught up on things, should be big news coming out of the Smooth Customs workshop in the next few months... us FB/EK Holden boy's 'n' girls will like it/them.
The Show had a few early Holdens in it, a nice Yellow FC, and a very nice EH 8) 8) plus assorted cool custom cars.
I know what you're sayin'...PHOTOS! Scotty!!...Paul's the one with the flash camera so we'll just have to wait till he fly's back home and uploads the happy snaps.
Good thing I decided on taking the Triton because you have to use the parking facilities there (cost me as much for parking as the show entry!), so when I finally got back to the car some FU#@*%R had run into it and added a new dent :x , good thing here my Triton is ALL dents!
I'd hate to see the other blokes car though, as he hit a rather hard corner of mine (whatever it was it is painted Red!).
There was a large number of quality cars parked there also so I'm glad this bloke hit mine and not someones GOOD car, but there's a lesson to be learn't here..Don't take your pride 'n' joy if it's gonna be parked where the idiots can hit it!

Yeah, must've got the shows mixed up.

They had an article on the show in yesterday's paper, and the feature car was some crystal encrusted Mazda........no wonder I got confused

And probably built by an overpriced Panel beater spray painter trimmer and mechanic! :D
Not exactly the type of car I would build, but the amount of high quality work was stunning. and a credit to all involved

This has to be possibly the best show in the country, with a wide variety of makes and models. from perfectly restored to totally radical.
And thats what makes it interesting to most people.
Super Stars is another part of the show that Sydney people are treated to. Where the top cars from each State are invited to attend, and compete against each other to find the best in Australia.
Something extra you get for your admission costs.

I have been attending the Sydney shows since the 60's, and have even shown my own and customers cars there over the years.

Was great to catch up with Scotty (Dobber!) and I may post a few pictures later
