A huge Congratulations to you Gary, for producing such a outstanding vehicle. You well and truly deserved all your awards on the day.

It was a great pleasure to see the car up close, and to eventually meet the builder.

And For the record a Grand Total of Seven or something trophy's folks. That's a fantastic effort, and well deserving for a member to travel such a way and put your vehicle on display.

Well Done, Look forward to catching up with you next year.

Regards John

Cheers Guys!! I am still trying to come to terms with the cars success ...... blows me away, honestly did not expect the response the car received.

Harko, mate I was shitting myself when he injection went on! I drove it in Darwin with the 750cfm double pumper and that was a hoot to say the least! Sue came with me for the first run with the carby on and I give it a light "blip" on the throttle ........ Sue said "if your going to do that I'm getting out!!" ........ the best bit is she has not been in it with the Hilborn injection yet (the Hilborn flows 2500cfm)     can't wait ...... tomorrow is the day!!
Don Mammone (Don's Automotive and Performance - Mildura, I cannot speak highly enough of Don and his family) fitted the Hilborn and has run it with the latest PS 2000 ECU from Halteck. When Don came back from the first road test (after 5 days of fitting and tuning!) with a grin like a cheshire cat and said "take it for a spin and see what you think" ......... I had seen it disappear when Don drove it and was a little apprehensive to say the least (with and estimated 500+ hp). I hoped in, buckled up, turned on the ignition and hit the starter button ..... holy shit! the sound was incredible, I eased the throttle and cruised down the street, when I got around the second corner of the block the "horns" started growing!........ Don was trying to get one of the guys to comment on how it sounded going up the back street ....... but I'd already been there! Don's comment was that they heard the noise well before they saw the car come around the corner (slighty untidy!) and pulling hard down the street. Scary bit is that as the motor is new I have not pushed the throttle past 30 - 40% .......yet   .

We had a photo shoot with Street Machine on Monday from lunchtime to 7pm, be good to see how the pics turned out.

Nomad, here are some pics of the injection, the socks are to stop stones etc.....:

are there any strips up around darwin?
cos with around 500 hp, that weight car, the size of your treads and the ol' transbrake.. it'd have to be a 10 second car, surely?

I got the "you do that again and I'm getting out" glare and the punch in the arm      ....... women just don't understand, something to do with venus and mars........, it's a guy thing
