Trust me, it's a lot rougher than what it looks like in the photo's.

A bit of bog here and there, and crappy paint, but interior is mint and mechanically it's tops.

And I spent about half what my budget was 8)

:D Thats a perfect start point. What you saved start to spend fixing the bogged bits Trust me its worth it in the end especialy if your going to hang on to it. What a good score the best thing you have done is save a classic from some (#$@!!&^^) putting it into a pole or dogging it up.
I dont know you from a bar of soap but I like you, again well done. :D

Thank you.......

It's not too bad. It's the sort of thing you can drive for a few years without spending too much on it. I was initially looking for one that didn't need much or any work, but they were too overpriced.

Oh, I like you too.......you've got one hot looking machine 8)

Thanks, EK JAY and ben.........

I don't want to blow a fortune on it. I'll see what needs doing first (I'd say the body) and take it from there.

The bride insists I put seat belts in it...........though I can find better things to do to it with the $1500 the belts are going to cost 8)

Oh, what made the deal is that it came with 2 spare rust free left (front and back) doors

Good one Cal, just drive and enjoy it for as long as you can before doing the body, keeping it in a garage will save it from the elements while your not driving it, Trev 8) .

Thanks Trev.

The cosmetic stuff I aint going to touch. If I find any nasty rust I'll have that fixed.

I had a pretty good look at it before buying, but coz it was pissing down rain I couldn't look properly.

The rubbers are all shot.....I had to get the drill out to make small holes in the side wells of the boot to let the water out

The floors seem OK. A bit of bog on small sections of the sills.

The Rav 4 and Commodore have been booted from the carport 8)

Looks good just add miles
drive it for as long as posssible before taking it off the road

gota love that colour

1500 for seat belts sounds steep (Stogger got a price of around 850 in colour of your choice thats in bris but should be no different down your way) see if you can install them yourself and get them complianced

That's where the difference is, Craig. The price includes installation. Drive in - drive out. I got that price from a mate who has belts done to his FX

The colour looks hot, though it's one of those 10 metre paint jobs......

Looks good 10 metres away, not so good close up

The belts can wait till further down the road...

I tell ya what pisses me off..... Because my daily driver has ABS equipped 4 wheel discs, I was taking it easy in the EK, getting used to the drum brakes.

The amount of pricks that were cutting me off was unbeleivable

I was surprised with the drums. Not as bad as what I was expecting. Though braking heavily from a reasonable speed is a bit hairy.....

Keeping the thing in a straight line isn't easy

Yeah, nice bloke once I was there, but not the most talkative on the phone.......

Put it this way, I got it for less than what it reached when it was on Ebay last week.

If it had been in any worse condition I would've walked away. It was bordeline

Well done. Love the color. Hope you enjoy it.
I'd rather drive something made of metal, not plastic!
