Halogen Light Wiring

Post by NoMAD »

Guys,

I pick up a HQ Ute tomorrow with a Prem Front end, and i was going to upgrade the lights to halogen units.

Now the outers take H4 globes and i was going to use those annoying actic blue globes as there great for driving with (i know they can look stupid) and they are 60/55's

The inners use H1 globes and i was just going to use 100 watt'ers

my question to anyone in the know is i imagine i'm going to have to add in some relays...but i'm not actually sure about the wiring for this...so if somebody can describe or draw a little diagram of what i'm going to have to do and where to run what wires that would be awesome...as i'm told that with the old wiring and the added watt's it will kill the switch.

i hope this make's sense if not tell me...

cheers

if you are thinking of changing a few other things over to run on relays in the car try ebay for relays and holders, the auto shops can be pretty pricey, eg $6 for a relay and $5 for a holder, i quanities relays and holders are much cheaper on ebay.
