ok guys i get conflicting stories .. hopper stoppers told me to fit drum slaves and shoes with HR front Disks but dont boost it .,.

other say boost both and use the smaller wheel cyclinders /./

now i decided on a dual circuit braking system booted fronts and non boosted rears .. the question is what wheel cyclinders 2 use ?

whats everyone else used ?

Dave, I run HR disc front with EH rear drums and VH44 Booster. Works a treat. My next one is going to run HT Monaro discs with Eh rear. VH44 Booster.

I rang Hydroboost in Melbourne a few weeks back and spoke to the owner with what I want to do with my project.

I'm using HQ front discs and HR rear drums on a dual circuit system.

Am not using a master/vac system.

Was advised to use a VH44 booster (usually only used for drums but have a larger cylinder than VH40 and best for HQ front discs which have large pistons)and boost the front discs only.

Don't use a proportioning valve and just use HR disc brake slave cylinders unboosted.

Ran this by my engineer and he said this setup should be OK.
