My daughter has an original EK Grey motor sludge-a-matic
I want to put a 202 and trimatic I have into it for her, Believe I may need a HR front end, What is involved in the conversion and what diff is reccomended, If I fit the HR front end are the engine mounts correctly positioned and what crossmember can be fitted (Bolt in or weld in?)

hr frount end

you ll have to move the engine mounts to the back left mount to the right side , right mount on left side and you ll have to cut off the hr outrigger and weld on the ek out rigger and make a rear gear box mount i cut down a hq member for the rear mount you ll have to put some plates in the chassie for the rear mount to bolt to, or you could buy a haddfield member bolt it straight in (small fortune) but it would save a day or three plus the time spent trying to find a hr member i think he has 75% of the remaining members left in victoria.
cheers stevo

You will also need an EH sump and pickup to clear the crossmember.
As for diff I have an EH in mine. Just going through the same thing with my EK.
