After a lot of time I finally have the Valiant back on the road and running again.

Removed the electronic ignotion and went back to original setup.

Got a distributor from Perth, but missing lots of bits. New Points, condensor. Used an AP6 dissy. Finally got it running, rough as.
Replaced the wiring, still rough as.
Replacement cap had a carbon track between 3 and 5 . New cap and it's now running like a dream.

Just need to adjust the torsion bars (seems a little lop sided at the front. and give the brakes a overhaul.

Nice to have it on the road instead of sitting in the garage. Maybe now I can get back to the EK. I was also looking at 220SE Merc's (Finnies)

Watch out for Finnys Chop Shop.. I think the motto is:
"You Find Em, We Grind Em".

Now, chop up the Honda...

it does look lopsided.......the front is way higher than the back  why are you looking for another car just cruise around in the val 8) or seeing as you want a mercedes in our younger days when the only people that seemed to drive vals were of the effnik variety
the old vals were known as marickville mercedes' :D

Can't chop Honda's, they aren't solid enough. Bit like jelly. :D :D
The VF is a combo of the front end off a Wayfarer ute, the dash and front seat from a wagon and 2 Regals, a 770 and a Pacer for the rest. Now has a AP6 dissy. Has disc front end and the Pacer high HP motor but with an auto. Just need the interior done up, and some rust cut out.

My wife is getting me a new grinder for Xmas. Yippe

Was thinking of opening a chop shop but have had an alternative proposition. And that's why I need another car.

Went for a drive in the VF to see Dave68's EK Ute. When I got home I was a pool of sweat. Couldn't wipe it out of my eye's quick enough, they were stinging (But I was smiling. Got to love the way people look at you when your driving the old girls) . Unforntunately I can't see that being a professional image (sweaty look), if I were to drive out to see customers for business. No hurry still looking and considering options.

Keep the Val as a cheap 70's muscle car look. Don't have any ethnic issues (Purple is a nice colour  ) :D Can't justify Chevy or Stingray.
Keep the EK as a classic W/E drive. :D
Get something for comfort and style, but could still be a classic. :D
Could go a 450SLC :D That's cool 8) 8) 8)

Then consider if it's all viable. :? :?
