Neutral Safety Switch BYPASS

Post by (AUST)Mod »

How can I bypass the neutral safety switch in my HG Prem? It has a Trimatic and wont start because it thinks it is in gear. I have discovered that the switch has broken bits of plastic falling out of it, so I think it is the culprit. It has 2 light purple wires going into it, and 1 light and 1 dark green wire also. The green and purple wires each have a separate plug. Can I short some of them together until I get a new switch?

Please help asap. I want to drive the car tonight :)

Fixed it. Needed to short out the purple wires. I think the green are for the reverse light switch.

When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.
