Link to a headlining install 'how to'

Hey guys and gals, stumbled across this site that sell a few bits and pieces for the older holdens, mostly newer models though. However i did find this 'how to' on headlining installation somewhat helpful....

My own opinion is to have a trimmer do it, bitch of a job...

Seriously worth getting a trimmer to do it. I started to do mine the decided to leave it to a trimmer. Absolute prick of a job just helping him. Took two nights to do but man way better than I could have done.

Looks like a bit of a trend forming.
I like to try myself first.
A GOOD trimmer is probably what you're saying is needed.
Need to find one first, so I have a backup option.

I have done two now, one wagon and a sedan.
Both with help from another hood lining virgin and they came out great

Ingredients for a headlining install :
- Headlining and bows
- Contact Adhesive
- Strong pegs or bulldog clips
- Tonnes of patience and
- No fear.
Speaking as a trimmer and having done many, they are not too hard if you have the time and basic skills. Read some instructions and don't overwork the vinyl, a few small creases in the rooflining will come out with a heat-gun or a half day n the hot sun.

Mine you I have also stuffed up a few things over the years, but normally know my limits.

It's a good way to learn. When I went to do mine I started and during fitting it i rang a trimmer I knew for tips and he offered to fit it for me so rather than struggle I took him up on it rather than do it and not be happy with it. Make sure you get good adhesive that was one thing I took from it all.
