hi, the trimatic that is currently in my car is run on the original column shift. i'll be able to take some pics for you next weekend to show you how it was done if you like. the only draw back is the letters for the gear indicator doesn't coincide with what gear your actually in. ie: on the column first letter from park is D i think, but your actually in reverse. i suppose if you got the indicator lettering off a model with a column shift trimatic you may be able to change them over/ adapt it to fit.

Now I have the english version I know what you are asking

Piece 'o piss, I made a bottom bracket for the trimatic that rotated it 90 degrees from standard (I think it was from a torana, it needed to put more toward the ground than it did) and had all the original shape to match. Then I took a manual linkage cut it to length, re-tapped the end, then put a couple of little kinks in the rod to ensure nice alignment followed by some slight grinding on the cage at the bottom of the column to ensure it doesn't jump out of reverse and its pretty much done. Some minor adjusting to get all gears an your away. Just need to wire in a park/nuetral safety switch (on my list to do) and your away....
Speed and Style........... One day I'll get the speed bit.
