our nationals experience 08,,{and the hard luck award}

Post by karsten »

alarm rings,,,5 am

get in car ,start to drive

3 or 4 ks down the road,, front wheel falls off,, in the dark, and the rain, in a dicth ,,, :shock: :shock: :shock: :cry: :cry: :cry:

wheel shuved in the gaurd ,,sitting on the front end

pinched some back wheel nuts and limpt home,, :x :x :x :x :x :?

{ put on new nuts on friday rattled em up and a mate turned up to borrow my excavator,,, had to unload off my truck and on to his ,,and forgot to bar them up,,, and make sure there tension is sufficiant,,,, idiot....}

so 2 hours later we tried again :D and man,, i tell ya i held on real tight ,,,the hole time mate,, all the way to yamba

bit of damage to front left gaurd ,, but we survived ,,,ohh year the young fella 12 was in the car with me ,,,,hehe,,, he woke up real quick when she was grinden down the road on her front end at 5 am,,,,,as did i,, :shock: :lol:

so then we hung out and i drank rum ,,once in yamba cause we mist the sign in,,,and didnt know where every one was,,,,,helped me get in a better mood,, by the way,,the rum that is :lol: :lol:

met up with every one sat night at the bowls club for dinner had a great time and got a real wobble in me boot walking back to motel about 11pm

sunday bit hazy ,,about 830,,drove over to park ,,and parked car ,,drueled over all the cars ,, and i mean all of them they were all differant and had there own charm ,,, great diversity ,, makes for a interesting show i reckon,,, the cars would of varied in value from 5 to 50 or more grand ,, but you just love em all ,, cause there all survivers

show finished ,,,had a look around town met up with craig and a few others here and there

went to sunday night dinner,, had a great time and ,,found that boot was wobbly again ,,and made it to bed ,,, [ un aided by the young bloke i might add} :lol: :lol:

cruzed home monday no dramas ,,, except i think my liver is in shock :lol: :lol: :shock: :shock:

thankfully it rained so i could tinker in shed and have the day off :lol: :lol: today that is

so for all you folk that didnt come ,,, plan ahead if able and go next year cause its a great event ,,for ek and fb owners or enthusiests { note i put ek first} :lol:

ohh yeah ,,, make sure to check your wheel nuts :lol:

or you could end up like me ,,,and get a award { hard luck award }

for being an idiot :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

and to every one who i spoke to ,,,thanks for the great yarns we shared and it made it very memorable for me and the little bloke ,,,,its a good event for every one ,,kids and all were made welcome ,,

so that was a bit of a run down for any one that couldnt make it,, as to my yamba adventure

sorry rosco i must have rubbed up against you :lol: and got carried away with my index fingures ,,, ill give up now :lol:

it is acutally ,,, my first trophy :lol: :lol: thanks every one :wink: :D
when they start building them like that again i will buy a new car of them
