Hi All.
This is an edit on my older posted from 2005.
This is the set of photos for my project (start to finish) - View from the bottom up.

All work was completed by myself and my son. This included spraying, engine, bodywork...ALL. In our home garage.

I would also like to thank my friend Ross for his valuable input.

I posted these pics back in 2005.
However since then the car has been continually improved.
The highlight of this project was coming 3rd place at the FB/EK Victorian Nationals 2 years back. It placed in the best street modified section.

Anyway..enjoy the pics for all those that have not seen them

We also, have another FB and another EK project on the go, hopefully one of those will get up and place in the Australian Nationals.

Heres some pics of my FB.....enjoy
(6.5 year project)

Welcome to the forum Michael , youve built yourself a very nice looking machine mate , looks like a sister car to Petrolheads , similar colours at least .
What seats are you running in the front ? Any more details - engine , box , diff , etc? Cheers , Blacky.

The paint name is Blue Print

Brake booster bracket is off a &*#@ Cortina or Escort. I had to shorten and modify the bracket to the correct length. The booster is an 8 inch booster off a mazda 626 -- ( could have fitted a 10 inch booster ) plenty of room. Brake master cylinder is a tandem cylinder of a Mazda 929, if you would like any further information please feel free to contact me at my email addy

The engine is 192, stage 3 Yella Terra Head , triple 1 3/4 su's , Bosch electronic ignition system, lumpy cam -- cant remember what grind -- had it done when first starting project and have lost paper work. Electric fuel pump.
Very happy with fuel economy --- last outing to Winton Car Races --- 27mpg.

Front seats are out of a HR Holden. ------ Took for ever to modify runners to fit.

Transmission --- TOYOTA CELICA 5 SPEED ---- Steel case.

Differential ----- HOLDEN 3.08

Front end ------ HR DISC FRONT END.

Heater ------- OUT OF A DATSUN 120Y ---- Works great . ----- slide controls and fan switch fitted above ash tray on dash. AMOUNT OF WORK INVOLVED IN MODIFYING AND FITTING HEATING SYSTEM TOOK SO LONG --- Wouldn,t do it again.

Seat belts ------ Inertia reel seat belts front and rear with lap belt in centre.

4 Door remote locking system / with alarm and immobolizer

Wheels ------- PERFORMANCE MAGS ---- Had specially drilled to suit stud pattern

TYRES ----- 205/60/15

Tinted Windows

Hand brake has been centre floor mounted between seats.

Battery is now in boot.
