Should I install HR front?

My Fb ute will run a stock grey 138 and be used for fun driving maybe a couple of times a week. Has 3 speed manual.

It also came with a HR front end sitting in the back, and I was wondering wether the braking improvement will be that much better than boosted drums to make it worthwhile doing all the work?

It looks like its taken a hit in the front at some point as the front bar is a little distorted, but I will need to change it for the grey mount anyway.

Can you guys please talk me into or out of it? Can't decide if its worth it, especially as I have never driven either option.

Also it wont be for sale either way so don't use that as an excuse to talk me out of it 8)

Cheers
Greg

Gday hammondo
If your stock front end is in usable condition,
stick with it and use your time & money elsewhere.

Once the car is up and running, you could always do up &
swap the HR front in as an upgrade later.

The braking would be improved a little as the HR brakes were designed
for the much speedier red motor.

another thing to consider with the HR front, unless you go to someone who is willing to overlook the fact it has a disc brake front you will need an engineers report for rego :? :(
