Best thing to do is ring Hoppers Stoppers in Vic and ask for Ken. He does a service exchange 2 speed wiper motor deal , the last one I got was $80 including instructions, wiring and switch.
Steal of a deal.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

If its just for rego, fit a 2 speed switch and hook in a resister, the standard wiper motor is quick enough anyway. Cost about $12.

Haha I had a big run in with an engineer over that one oldnek , They are like school teachers because if you challenge them ,be it right or wrong you will become the looser :)
I told him that EK tecvhnically should pass because the rego authorities want to cover 55 beats per minute and EKs are faster already .
So putting in the resistor and slowing it down for first gear is perfect.

If I just presented it there would have been no problem

also i think the resistor thing only works with the preslite type motors, as we tried it on the van with the other type of motor and it wouldn't work :?

Blacky,
With the service exchange do you have to send him a working wiper motor first?
And do you have to send a 2 speed motor? or can i send any ek wiper motor?

Sorry to be a pain but was about to spend my money elsewhere, but 80 clams is a bargin  :D ...

Just send a normal single speed one and you will get what you want, call him first, Trev 8).

I used a Subaru Wiper motor in mine. ( the only reason for fitting it was it came with a half cut we had at the shop) but Big mistake, the high speed goes that fast it makes the wipers hit the stainless surround and beyond, poor little old linkages can't handle the fast pace. I had to use a dropping resister to slow down the high speed only.
