Here's a little idea Paul Kelly and I came up with about a year or so ago..
I had the idea for a project on an E.K. sedan to extend and change the front and back and lower the standard lid 3"called E-KOOL, then Paul liked it but wanted the same except for an entire roof change to something more update so I came up with this design...PROJECT E 2 KOOL..

Definately looks the goods!!!

The original design was very 60's and looked great. And some small detailed changes were made to refine the finished look.

But several chopped FB and EK's have been built over the years in almost all body styles, retaining the signature front screen. Something new and different was needed to make this concept different from those previously built. The use of a late model front screen and then later a modern roof has transformed this custom into something very individual

Now that should give you some idea of what has been involved in refining this concept.Till the recently finished and final stunning orange version.

I have original line drawings and colour versions of this two door,through its evolution to what he has posted here. And I will try and get Scotty to post them.

Hopefully in time he will share some of his other great designs and artwork.

Paul's right though, somewhere around this little shack are the originals we stuffed around with about 3 years or more ago!
Yes Pete I DID GET THE PUN, ya know I always loved the grill on the UTE!
I'll have more F.B. & E.K. design stuff cropping up in the future for more ideas.

if you can draw it's easy to draw, if it was one of my drawings you would not be able to tell if it was an FB/EK or a lada niva
hardest part of building it is finding a body to start with

Seeing that I build cars for customers talented people like Scotty are a vital part of what I do.

How many of you can discribe something you want to do to another person and they will see exactly what the picture in your head is and how it will look when finished.

I can build whatever I visualise, but thats what I am able to do.
But when a customer comes to me with something he wants done and we go through the verbal discription, some times the customers terms of reference differ to mine.
So I use Scotty or one other talented artist that I have used for years that 99% of the time share a very similar vision as me and can transfer it onto paper so the customer can confirm it is what he wants done.

This is a vital thing when doing work for other people, both parties must be working towards the same end result. And artwork of what the finished vehicle must look like confirms exactly what must be done

Imagine asking a builder to build you a house based on a verbal discription. Imagine what you could end up with.

does he do drawings for street machine mag, looks simular to something they had years ago

His work has been seen in Street Machine publications.
The Newsledder, and others.

You would have seen some of his work on event T Shirts and many other things, but with no reference to him

Scotty has done work for people and shops that have taken credit for his designs, and others that have copied them.

The guy needs to be given credit for his talent and skill.
Wait till he posts some of his other work, I will keep on his back about it.

Paul, this was a driving reason to get this great friend and artist up and connected.So his great work could be seen and recognised.Though Scotty is generally modest I do remember this one occasion when we crossed paths somewhere....
