Should have asked at the nationals Dave, Roger was there and could have showed you his car.
I have just put one behind the grey in the wagon and it fitted like a glove, but it's not on the road yet so no first hand experience with the way it goes, Trev .

Hi ek61, My ej resto was on the back burner for quite a while but a couple of weeks ago, I got the car back on the road and took it for a good drive to run the engine in. The trimatic gearshifts are quick and precise and manages to change down when climbing hills without starving the engine of revs and there was no sign of the transmission banging against the body which was a huge relief! My greymotor had a standard reco before the trimatic was added so its hard to say how much of the power gain is due to the trimatic but overall, the trimatic makes much better use of the available power and therefore makes the car more drivable. Auto bodied EK should easy to fabricate a crossmember I'd guess as the auto rear crossmember floor braces are already there ready to make up the custom crossmember needed for trimatic rear mount.

Roger (the maker of the tri kit to grey) told me not to bother about a rear gearbox mount, just let it stick out the back! So thats what I have done.
With my hand brake I cut the mechanism off the manual cross member and welded it to the chassis near the gearbox, worked a treat , Trev .
