Gday fellow croweaters
has anyone contemplated heading over to Yamba for the 08 Nats, over the Queens birthday long w/end???:D
it would be great to share the experience with fellow S.A. fb/ek enthusiasts

and its also a good opportunity to meet fellow forum members, and share a few drinks and a few laughs:D
and I can gaurentee that youll have a ball

- because when 60+ fb/eks converge in a small town, the whole place is a buzz!
obviously theres plenty of time to throw a few ideas around, and sort something out between now and then
and to get the ball rolling heres some food for thought, so the first and most enjoyable way of getting there is the roadtrip
and what a roadtrip it is-1874kms from Adelaide
approx 23hrs 30mins, best split in to 3 8hr stints
so you'd probably need a couple of weeks of work
http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=d&hl=e ... a&z=6&om=1
so what do you think???
anyone else keen?
any other ideas?
cheers ray

Hey ya'll,
I'm not too keen on driving Francine all the way to Yamba and have an idea if anyone else is interested, depending upon the cost of course...would anyone be interested in looking into how much it would be to tpt the fb/eks over and drive together in another veh? Share the driving and petrol costs etc....and....Road Trips are fun!
any thoughts?

hi panda
thats a good idea, where theres a will theres a way
but like you said it would depend on price, and how many people were interested
will get some estimates next week

Hello
We are from Mount Gambier and for anyone who does not know we are about as far south in S.A. as you can get. We drive to the nationals in our fb. Before the panelvan we cruised to events all over in our standard sedan. (In fact for a few years our fb sedan was our "only car" for driving anywhere).
Part of the fun is to cruise in your old fb/ek and to get the looks on the road, also to chat to people in towns if they come up for a look while having a "stop". We now incorporate a 2 week holiday around the nationals which also allows us to sight see parts of our great country.
Just something more for you other "croweaters" to think about.
cheers
Lesley and Roger

Having driven from Qld to NSW then on to SA, I enjoyed the trip and obviously driving around in the old girl generated a lot of interest where ever I went. I met lots of great people, some of whom I'm still in contact with and I would love to take a few weeks off and drive to Nationals but the way things are going, I'll be lucky to get a few days off. It's a long tedious drive on your own so I just thought if anyone else was in the same boat, it could be fun to head over together....
