Hi All
I am in the process of finishing off the installation of the front guards on my ute.
I am interested to know what people generally use to fill the gap between the guard and the body at the top rear corner of each guard. It is the gap of 10mm or so that is visible when you look inside the guard through the front wheel wells. It is not visible from the exterior of the car.
I am assuming that originally there would have been a rubber seal in there that would have been installed before the guards went on. As the whole front of the car is now assembled I am reluctant to remove the guards and am interested in a solution with them in place.
I was thinking of using some non-hardening mastic similar to windscreen sealant that could be caulked in and then smoothed off from the outside to leave a factory looking bead.
Does anyone have experience with this and if so what would you suggest.
As always any help is greatly appreciated.
Regards
Chuck
