Trying to be arty

Took a couple of shots of the old girl today, found this old shed down the road and thought we would try and get some nice pics of the EK but the light was wrong :(
Image
On the way home we drove past a shed that is usually closed and there was an EK ute in it so we stopped and bashed on the door. The car is owned by a little old lady , her husband bought two of them new and used them to cart firewood for a living - until 2003 !!!!
He is no longer with us and she told me he insisted that the ute stay in the family so the son takes it for a squirt every couple of weeks . It has had a recoed motor but is still on the original gearbox and diff. This would have to be one of the hardest working utes on the planet!
They sold the other ute after he died ,apparently this one was the favourite

That's cool as....

As for your photo, try right on dawn or dusk. Depending on sun position.

Blacky, I thought I recognised that Photo style from somewhere,
you haven't done this professionally before?

I might post this article in future if anyone is interested in reading it.

Blacky,

Your photo is good in composition but is over saturated and could be cropped a little harder. A softer light would be more beneficial to the scene.

Givetall, Bring it on!

Smooth, you might as well be talking Swahili  over saturated? The camera didnt get near any water all day,and it certainly doesnt have anything growing on it so cropping is out of the question

ROFL, It means the colours look fake, too much colour. Not natural. Cropping is just trimming to make it more of the focus area and delete some of the background etc. If trimming do so at 4:3 aspect ratio to keep the photo true to normal photograph parameters.

If that is how it comes from your camera (as in colours) you need to adjust your camera settings or buy a new one.

As a matter of interest what type of camera is it?
Ooops! Doesn't matter, I can see it's a Kodak CX7525

Hey Smooth,

Just because he dosn't have the 360 panarama, and has possibly taken his first couple of great looking shots of the old girl! there is no need to be picky.
In fact the crop is stored in his shed behind the car and the saturated carpet! oh well is still ''Saturated''

Through my magic eyes!
Nah mate, it's in the Image/Photo EXIF Data.

If you want B&W just desaturate the bugger.

Now that looks a lot better, can I do that with my computer at home , put it on a disk and get it printed onto photo paper or do you need a special program?

Hey Smooth, You forgot to turn off the heating lamp in the shed. It's shinning a little to bright in the background.

Blacky,

If you want me to do one for you that you can print etc. You will need to send me the full size master image from the camera. Happy to do one for you no charge.
