Been there once during a 44 hour train trip sit up class. Must have been 1985 or so. I remember the train stopping long enough for us to go down to Hay Street and taunt the ladies of the red lit verandahs.

I went through there after the WA nats, had lunch at the exchange, nice old pub.

Took some photos of the entertainment area, apparently quite tame these days !

Very tame compared to what it used to be Greg, we left Kal this morning at 7:30, got into Mundrabilla at 5 local time (Central Western time)
Did 853 or so km on 91 litres of juice so 10.68 or so per 100km

$2.48 per litre at Mundrabilla, slightly cheaper than Cocklebiddy which was $2.51

Mundrabilla - the station owners run the roadhouse, station grown beef and a chef makes for sensational meals- the forecourt was packed with trucks
