New 13” Tyre Advice Please

Hi Folks,

Would appreciate some advice. I need some new tyres for the Ute, currently has 185/70/13” (stock steel rims).Looking at the Nangkang 185/80/13” or the 175/80/13” (both whitewall). The price quoted to supply, fit & balance is the same ($150ea).

Motor & gearbox is stock. I expect diff is stock but have not opened it up. I plan to swap the diff centre to a 3.55.

I’m thinking to go with the 185’s as I don’t think there is much in it. Thanks.

Stephen

I’ve got Nangkang 185/80 13” on the front of the sedan. No complaints.

I think the 185/80/13 are about as close as you can get to the height of the original rag tyres mate so your speedo will be close to correct , the 175's are 0.7" shorter in height so your speedo will read a tad fast

That's a pretty fair price for the 185's as well, Stephen.

I think I paid around $175 each for mine about 6 months ago ....

Nice motor there Steve

Yes I thought the tyres fitted & balanced for $150 was good value.
