Gday Andie,

My opinion best looking stereo is one you cannot see. They are so quick to date and speaker grills dont age gracefully. Hide as much as you can !!! Up above the kick panels etc below the parcel shelf with the lining attached and no hard material ( in our case steel ), to negate sound muffling.

Please dont cut your door skins for front speakers !!!

Amps probably best in the boot under a false floor or under rear seats (watch for heat thou), if large amps - mounted to the back of the rear seats within a box ( which can couple for a sub if your going down that path. Deck in glove box or remote wired to boot.

Ive noticed they have started putting 5.1 in cars, love a good stereo personally for the drive-ins !!! No doff doff please Andie !!!

:D

Andrew

best place for a stereo...the glovebox!

keeps the dash looking nice and smooth in my opinion

plus usually you either have a cd or radio going and really adjust settings, if you do get one with a remote & keep that hiddin ashtray.

beat me to it Mephious

Cheers

my car currently has a sony system with 4 speakers, 2 under the dash and two on the parcel shelf, with a 10stacker in the boot. it sounded nice until olden holden welded on the car and now it sounds cactus and crackles, so i would be looking to fill the spots left by this system, and yes the head is in the glove compartment

I'll post some tonight, issues with work computer and photobucket!

Mines in the glovebox, I fabbed up a steel insert and mounted my temp gauge and cd player and left enough of a ledge for my sunnies to sit on.
Speed and Style........... One day I'll get the speed bit.
