Hi just wondering what people out there use to shine up their grille, I used brite shine on mine last night but didn't really have the disired affect. For those who don't know Brite shine is like cotton wool that you rub over chrome and it leaves a white film, leave it a while then polish it off and chrome looks like new. I can't recommend this product enough to somebody who has chrome on their car (also works on the stainless steel kettle in the kitchen). It's cheap - about 11.95 a tin and lasts for ages, But it didn't work that well on the grille.... Any ideas ?

Brite Shine is a finishing polish and not a very good cutting polish. That said it works way better on chrome then it does on Stainless Steel.

You would be better off using Autosol cream polish and a lot of rubbing. If you really want perfection you will need to take the grill slats to a professional metal polisher. The grill has been subject to many decades of bug splatter and radiator spills etc.
