Hey all,
Has anyone done the role edge on the front guards of the FB & EK.
Seeking advice on the best way of doing it.
So far I have looked at trimming away some of the return lip from around the wheel arch but don't know if this will be enough.
Any info would be good, thanks

Hey Mal,
A mate of mine used 6mm rod and stich welded it around the radius at the required position. He then cut all the excess off and then beat and welded the remaining lip to the rod. Still looked original and was strong.
If you do it this way take some photos and show me how it turned out.

No problems,
I've done one guard by trimming away most of the return and where the support bracket goes I trimmed that also in width and length, then welded in about a 300mm of 8 or 10mm rod to reinforce the section I cut out, but I didn't go right around the arch.
How stupid am I, that makes sense now. I will pull the guard off again and do the rest of the arch as you said.
Will post pics, thanks Greg.
Cheers

Mal,
I used a guard roller to do mine, bad mistake! I pulled the lower section of the guard upward due to the strenght of the lip and double skin on the front guards. It did a pretty good job at rolling (albeit minimal) but now I have a larger gap at the bottom of the guard to door gap.
