heater hose hole

was at a wreckers yesterday and noticed something (thats prolly no so special) on a honey beige (colour added for jacko) standard FB sedan the oval hole for the heater hoses was in the flat part of the firewall above the body ID tag, not in the curved area above the manifold any explanations i've never noticed it before

Those are the very early body FB's and match that of the images in the FB Holden Workshop Manual. There was a design revamp early in the production to allow for left hand drive export vehicles. The heater hose inlet was moved into the depress part of the firewall in line with the trans tunnel.

so jacko would love this car if it wasn't smacked hard in the front (nothing a half subframe wouldn't fix) and someone has stole the ID tag off it :shock:
