HI All

I have to move my FB Holden from Adelaide to Brisbane.I was wondering if anybody could give any details of a good carrying company.

I would like it to be in a enclosed truck or trailer for safety .If any way knows someone or could give me an idea of the cost it would be appreciated.

I got a quote of $500-$600 to carry an EK from near Adelaide to Melbourne recently, though an FB would be much cheaper as they're worth far less.
.....And that was the guys back load price on an open back truck!

Sounds like its going to be an expensive exercise .Might be easier to drive the old girl up . Can't spend all that much if shes not as valuable as an EK

Have a look at U-Haul 'one way' trailer hire, would be less than a $100 per day.

Yep was considering that. I'm just getting prices now.
Problem is I have to fly down and hire a tow vehicle as well so
Still probably cheaper to find a freight company.

Drive, be a great road trip and probably cheaper.

I've hit a couple in my sedan. Bent a few bits and flat spotted front tyres but not a stopper. Different story to when I hit one in an XF. Flattened everything against the block and pushed the water pump shaft on so the impeller left scores on the front outer cylinder casting. With the EK it was just a matter of a new grille and bonnet bar and straighten out the bonnet and grille support when we got home. Oh and new front tyres of course.
