Wifey dragged this old photo out today. She owned Stella back in 1989 when this photo was taken outside our place at Wallaroo Mines. Naughty girl sitting on the guard. Bought the car after it had been closed door repainted from two tone grey. Replaced brake cylinders and shoes and added a vh40 booster. Also a Smiths heater. Unmarked black and red tuck and roll interior. Later one of the front springs was broken near the base so cut the other to match. The crossplys went in favour of 6 & 7" chromies and FC caps. Drove beautifully. Steady as a rock at 80mph (down hill of course, stock driveline).
Sold her a few years later and kept the EK Standard Sedan as we were running out of room. Hopefully still chugging around Adelaide somewhere but never seen it.

Potty it's not being driven but who am I to talk. Guess they didn't like the black 2pk marine paint the guy we bought it from had tarted it up with.
Thanks for the pointer. Gives me the incentive to join the FE FC forum and see if anyone knows where it is. The original light grey with dark grey flash and black on red interior would have looked the goods.

G'day Stinky , do you know if WA has a website like SA and what is the scope ? Check rego renewal or what . Curious to know if my Dads EK ute is still alive . Saw it about about 15 years ago but could not chase it as I was on my way to an appointment .
I would rather work on a Morris 1100 than use a computer !!!!!!
Do you know the old rego number Leigh ? It's easy to check if the plate is still in circulation .just Google WA licence check and you will find it easy enough.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Done , thanks . Will have to go through some old photo's , have an idea on the plate , but need to confirm . What worries me is if I found it , would I " have " to have it ?

I wish, no. Was a 186 crash box. Very quiet engine hardly a rattle. Completely stock. 90,000 miles on the clock when I got it for $1000 in 1979 I reckon, so ten years old. Four years later it had another 100,000 on it and sold for $250. The subframe was shot.
