Flocked Bailey Channel and Door Belt install

Hi all,
Installed Flocked type bailey channel with no real drama, but the the door belts were a bit more challenging. Not much room to manipulate the second strip and
the distance between the them will make the window a tight fit. Is this usual when replacing ?

my ute has been back on the road for 5 1/2 years now and the windows are still a bit tight to roll up and down
