inner sills what are they supposed to look like fitted?

Probably a dumb question, but as I do not have inner sills in my project I'm not sure how they're supposed to look like fitted.

The inner sills rare spares sold me resembles a strip of sheet metal folded in a Z shape is the middle section when fitted straight or is it angled? Or doesn't matter?

With the lack of work locally saving to buy all the rust sections I needed has been slow I want to get the fitting right as I can't afford to stuff it up

thankyou very much resto nut, the previous "restoration" by one of the owners prior to me appears to have tack welded a piece onto it to extend it, then overlapped it over a rust hole, welded it on, then bogged it over rust and all I thought it didn't look right!

I see this is your first post welcome to the forum :)

I take it these sills are on your ute?... If so, are you referring to the actual inner sill or the reinforcing member that's fitted between the inner and outer sills on the utes and vans?

my ute has nothing left of the inner sill only what was found under the bog on the floor with the outer sill piece tacked on top of that

If you have a look back through my posts you'll see a pic showing a cross section of an fb/ek ute sill. I'm fairly sure the fe/fc utes didn't have the reinforcing member. Can't see any reason why the fb/ek couldn't live without them.
