Hi Guys,

I have seen numerous photos of EK's with what looks like Deep Dish steelies on them.

I have HK Kingswood 14x6's on my Wagon at the moment and i want them OFF !!!
Can anyone point me in the right direction on how i get the set up? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

(I have a HR Disc Brake front end)

I had mine (hg 14's) done by a guy in WA, the offset was to wild so i had them pulled in slightly , the rim is also flipped so you cant run a chrome trim ring im told yet to test.
At first he tried to recomend another guy but because im a mate of a mate of a mate etc he said he would do them.
If you would be interested in sending them across Aus or something ill find his details

To get any kind of dish on the rear you should start with a LJ Torana rear end.

I have reversed 7"rims on my ute with a stock front end and Torana diff and have no clearance issues but the increased scrub radius makes it heavy to steer- but they are 13" , Trevs (now Oli's) wagon looked the goods and I have thought about converting to 14" to get the same look.

If you can find one, i was looking for one to go down this path but with no luck had the rims pulled in 30mm,Vehicle still to lowered some more.

Go and see Wal from Neale Wheels if you want get some made.
He did my ROH 15 x 7 steelies

Obviously it'd be cheaper to get some already out there

The W.A. equivalent of Neales Wheels is Stan at Wheelmodz - he is THE man to see in W.A. for wheel modification, fabrication , etc.

I'm in the middle of this battle at present - but with Dragway alloys.
I have HR front end and EH rear.

If you go 14x7's - and want all wheels identical, you'll have issues with the front upper ball joint at full deflection (relieved).
I have fitted 2 X-U1 spacers each side - and all front issues are resolved.

The rears will scrub on the 2/3 mark back along the wheel arch if your outer rim is more than 3 3/8" from the wheel mount face on a 54 1/2" rear housing.

Fitting anything on top of the left hand side spring in the form of an over-rider to the rear of the axle, which protrudes inwards will foul the spare wheel well....

If you go the Torana rear housing - I'm a bit concerned the inner tyres will foul the body frame in the wheel arch on mine - and I expect the same with others.

I run "high" - I appreciate many/most now run very low to the ground.

We scrubbed a couple of times yesterday on it's maiden run - bottomed out pretty heavy on a ditch at speed on the blacktop.
Even thought he over-riders are wound up pretty tight - and the adjustable Koni shockers were wound out another turn - there was still a good 1 1/2 inches of upwards travel when be bottomed - that is evident by the scrape on the wheel-well...

Make absolutely certain you get your offset right... 14 x 6" wheels shouldn't be an issue - but you'll need to get clearance under the outer wheel arches if you intend to run it lowered.
14 x 6's wont be an issue up front - it's the upper ball joint housing which scrubs with 7's... tie rod end is fine.
