Ute solid brake line
Ute solid brake line
Hi All, My fb ute brake lines (esp. the long front-back one) got totally mangled in transit. Does anyone know if they are the same as the sedan? I need a good replacement, or at least a straight one to use as a template. Cheers.

Re: Ute solid brake line
G'day Ralph,
The following pipes are common between all FB/EKs:
a) the pipe from the master cylinder to the front tee connector,
b) the pipe from the front tee connector to the left front wheel,
c) the pipe from the front tee connector to the right front wheel,
d) the pipe from the axle housing tee to the left rear wheel, and
e) the pipe from the axle housing tee to the right rear wheel.
The pipe from the front tee connector to the rear of the car (the long one) is the odd one out. There were two types made: one for the sedans, and another for the station wagon/panelvan/utes.
Probably easier to get new line run (especially the long one) than trying to find, transport and then work with an old (manky) one.
Cheers,
Harv

Re: Ute solid brake line
Thanks Harv, I think a new one is probably the best approach. I'll just try and bend the old one into approximately the right shape to copy it.
