Well guys and gals not long now till we hit the road and i'm getting that feeling, you know like what did i forget.
You know the tow rope, water, spare wheel, maybe fuel, two ways or a CB, ya favourite truck drivin songs, torch, camera, rags, hand cleaner, come on help me out, I'm layin in bed at night thinkin about this!!
I like to carry enough clear plastic and silicone to cover the windscreen, incase one of those big trucks flicks a stone up.
Any ideas?

BEER/ESHY and ICE in case of breakdown(not necessarly the mechanical side) and when the wife's driving drowns out the nagging..and if your like me have three kids in tow the beer helps that as well.BUT do NOT drive after drinking... cheers mark

We will be doing the hay plains during the middle of the day.
Are the roos just bad at night, or anytime?

i'm guessing the grey motor has a fibre gear set like the red motor. Can you get a steel set for it like you can with the mighty red. I havn't had a gear set go on me but I know lots of people who have, fibre gears ?? what were holden thinking ??

. Just to play it safe you could hire a car carrying trailer and put a complete FB on it and take it with you

EEEEKKKKK We dont want to see that do we. Do you know why this happens?
Thanks for the suggestions, have got a few more, zip ties, spare keys, umbrella or wet weather gear and fuel and vacum hoses.
Hopefully we wont need any of this but it pays to be prepared.

A mate of mine has just driven from sydney to adelaide
bringing his new 4wd home.
he is now looking for a new arial & wiper arms,
And cleaning the blood and guts of it
after driving through a flock of BATS
