Hey - anyone know any places to get a wheel alignment done on an EK Holden. Prefer in the north western suburbs of Sydney (Ryde area or close by especially good).

Hi John.
Contact Bryan Horne at Pelman Automotive on 9759-7625. He knows more about aligning early Holdens than every tyre place in Sydney combined. His 2 daily drivers are an HG Premier and an FJ he has owned since the 60s. Most wheel aligner guys, these days, do not know how to do shim alignments.
He's at Greenacre, but that's only 10 mins over the Ryde bridge along Homebush Bay drive and Centennial ave.
He aligns all my early Holdens.

Ok .
Seems like you guys in Sydney have someone that knows what they are doing on your front end.
Does anyone know of someone in the Newcastle district i can trust to get the front end right.
I have had two wheel alignments in the past six months. Both times using the new "Thrust alignment" . Might be ideal on a front wheel drive piece of shit but definitley doesnt work on an old Holden.
I am watching my good 205/60/13s tearing the outer shouilders off themselves. suggests to me .. positive camber and toe in. But the googey boys at the alignment dumps tell me all is OK.
Just like to find someone i can trust to do a "proper" job on the car .
Otherwise i might be up for a trip to sydney... bloody sad when old tried and proven systems gets brushed aside by bullshit technology and computery shit..
