G'day all,
So I've been browsing over this forum for months and months now and I must say, there is some damn good info, tips, and builds on here! I've been in the hunt for an EK for ages and until now i havent had ANY luck at all! But I've had a few responses to my wanted ad on gumtree, and it looks like I may have found one, or 2 for that matter. So I've got the car trailer hooked up ready for the 6hr treck up to Perth tonight to look at 2 cars over the weekend. Hopefully it all works out and I end up bringing one home with me!

looking forward to getting stuck into it and being apart of the forum.
Cheers,
Tyson

Cheers Trev, already got me camera charged up!
G'day blacky, I live 60k's from a little town called Ravensthorpe... Kinda 2 hours from Esperance... The middle of nowhere basically!

Didn't see those ones from kal. Were they on gumtree?

Howdy Tyson,
I hope the road trip leads you to find an EK that meets your needs. Oh and welcome to the forum.
Regards
Stephen

Welcome aboard Tyson,
I've got family in Jerramungup - know where you are in Ravensthorpe - last town before Jerry - pointing west.
Please take and post lots of pix of what you find - guess you already know about the WA club.... pretty sure someone will come out to find you if they know where you are going to look at these two EK's....
Lots of stuff on here, don't be afraid to ask about anything FB/EK - simply no question is unworthy... if you don't know, there's a good chance someone else will also learn from your questions...
Good luck - keep us posted..
frats,
Rosco

Yeah ur on the money blacky, that's the area! we've got a holiday shack down in Hopey, will be down there next week actually. But we live pretty much smack bang in the middle between there and Varley.
Who has the wagon down there by the way??

Cheers Rosco, yeah ur onto it too! Long way from home for u hey. It's funny coz normally I tell people where I'm from and they have no idea at all. Haha
I just looked at one this arvo, looks pretty good. Sill panels are all but gone, and maybe a bit of bog in the bottom of front guards, and more than likely in the bottom of rear quarters. But as its my first to look at I'm not entirely sure what to expect... I'm guessing that stuff is pretty standard for something that is yet to be restored. And doesn't look to be too expensive to repair anyway..?

Don't know the name of the cocky, Petrolhead on the forum gave me the lead years ago , I bagged 3 on that trip

I bought 2 of them back to Perth . but left the wagon where it sits as it was a bit too far gone - but still has lots of bits. Is in a paddock miles from anywhere - the cocky just said help yourself whenever you like so that's what I do ..... theres an EH , an XP Frod and a HT there as well.

Yeah there's a few round our farm that are just too far gone, sad to see them go to waste but they're at the point where if you were to replace all the sheet metal that is rusted out the thing would look like a patchwork quilt, and then there's the structural parts!

In total there's 3 FB/EK utes, 2 HX wagons, an XP falcoon ute and a HX ute which are ALL too far gone!

then theres my HQ and HZ tonners which may one day be restored or sold when theyre worth a bit more.
