Front door hinge spring thingy

Hi guru's

Does anyone know please whether the front door hinge spring clips that hold the door open just go on one hinge - or both? If the former, is it the top hinge only? I've got a couple of sets of hinges that I'm cleaning up and from the paint residue on some it looks like they've never had the clips (even though the rivet holes are in all of them).

Cheers, Steve

Two spring clips go on the top hinges only. If you put more than that on you'll have trouble closing the doors.
