So i finally got some mooncaps to play around with for a new look. They just snap on and off the tasmans which is handy. I've brought some white wall paint off ebay too which im not having much luck with as yet (cracking and turning to powder pretty much but getting better results each time i retry it) i think ill go a thinner white strip..I'd like some opinions on colour of the rim bit u can see around the cap? red? black? alloy? or keep it the off white and slightly tint the wall paint and paint up to it so theres only one white down there. ATM there's too much happening... Also the tasmans back to alloy you reckon? gunmetal spokes?

What colour is the interior, could match the lip of the rims to that....if I read it properly, the caps fit over the Tasman rims, if you painted the outer lip and then decided not to run the caps it would probably look funny.

Have you looked at running flappers or porta-walls, instead of the paint? I run them on mine, lots of people don't like them, but they have never given me any grief

thats good to know woody might look into them if next try is no good..btw its red interior and yes would look funny without the cap on if painted. maybe i should see if i can get them back to alloy.. I do like both looks too

What size moons are you running? Could always get another set of rims and tyres? Paint them up as you like, and swap between them for a different look?

I got my flappers off eBay, roughly $140 from memory + fitting. Next wa event that's on, you can check them out, see what you think

glad u like the mooneyes cause i tried to wire wheel the mags back to ally and found out the rim was steel haha.. looks like ill be on the disks for a while.. They dont look far off the original caps really

ive gone a small band of white near rim to reduce the paint cracking.. that paint is sh!t btw don't buy the stuff on ebay . Im sure there's good stuff out there but geezus took me 3 goes and still not too happy

got kenco shift it onto interior, wow that stuff brought it back to brand new
been driving it about 4 times a week and basically bloody loving being back in it!!
