Just thought I would share a few pics of my "new" EK that I picked up recently, it has a 202 red motor in it and a HR front end, other than that it is pretty standard, not sure where I am going with it yet but it's in the shed so thats a start. These are the pics of eBay.

I have started stripping the car down, the previous owner fixed up a flare job gone wrong by fibre glassing the guards, they looked pretty good but i just had to know what was under there so i had them sand blasted, consequently i am looking for a new set of guards in the Albury Wodonga area, these guards have had repair panels in them and then had time to rust again.

It's a shame those eyebrow sections had to rust up after so much effort repairing them. Took me ages to tig in my repair section, so much messing around cutting and aligning before carefully welding, checking and welding some more..
Looks like you've got a good project as a starting point. The rebuild journey is long, but worth it.

Welcome aboard. A lot of us were all in your neck of the woods in June - at Wangaratta for the Nationals...did you check it out?

Definitely a bit of a horror story under the fiberglass, sorry to see that.

I saw your foot in one of the photos, which reminds me, Rise of the Lycans is on TV tonight

Ok she is all stripped down and ready to go to the sandblasters, excited and scared at the same time. I think I might go and take some notes and make a little template or something so I know where the colour ends and where the black starts, particularly on the dash.

All I need to do now is devise some kind of trolley that will enable me to get it dragged up onto a flat bed to get it to the sandblasters, I would love to hear how others have done this.

Looks real solid, hopefully no surprises after blasting  .

This is how I got the wagon to the blasters, a home made trailer hitch attached to the front and towed on the rear axel.

Thats pretty awesome, I have some 6 inch castors that are good for 100kgs each. I think I might make something up out of 50mm box and somehow bolt it to the bottom. I'll see how it goes.
