I have noticed a few cars were the front guards have been filled so that the lower (factory welded) joint is removed.
Just wondering it they are only done for looks, and if anyone has done them before and the potential for cracks or other issues.

I'm starting to like the smooth effect , it's much cleaner, but always like to hear others thoughts.

If you fully weld the seam it shouldnt crack. Once welded you could use some reinforced bog such as metaltech then normal bog over the top of that.

I have to weld new metal into this area anyhow and thought it would be so much easier to not have to worry about the seam at all.
I just didn't want it to crack and it still had a fair bit of movement.

I'll also weld over the seam and do it properly. That will be much stronger, easier and look better also.
I can also cut a "non-Rusted" section out of my parts wagon guard to weld back in. Happy Days.......

If you can , weld it up while it is still bolted to the car , with the bumper in place .

If it pulls a little bit while welding, makes it bloody hard to get the bumper back on in the right place , without losing paint , dont ask me how I know
