Hi guys, I'm after some sill panels to suit an fc ute, and also some floor pans and a tail gate skin. I know that heaps of places do it but I am after quality not junk. Happy to pay the extra. ( for instance a retro rod tailgate skin is $88 compared to rare spares $296)
Anyone that has had good/bad experience with any replacement panels your feedback would b much appreciated.
Cheers
Eddy

Re: Repro sill panels
Ive fitted several repo sills. You have to muck around with them a bit but they do fit. The floor pans are pretty straight forward also.
The problem with the tailgate skins is the originals have a bow in them. The repo ones are flat.
The last one i did i put a pie cut every 50 mm. Bowed it to shape and rewelded it.
It was tons of work.
I reckon if you bought a new skin and unfolded the top edge you could put the bow in with a shrinker stretcher.. im yet to try it.
The one i did on my ute i unpicked the original and repaired it.

Re: Repro sill panels
We used retro rod outer sills on my EK wagon and were happy with the profile and fit.
