Any leads? I'm in Nth NSW.

Also a pair of 14 x 6 tasmans. (doesn't hurt to ask right...)

Thanks,

You might as well buy a lottery ticket. You are hunting the hardest to get bits for an fb. The bonnet bars and tanks rust out. Good luck with your search. Hit ebay gumtree and swap meets.
Maybe someone might repo them one day.

Andy,

Marty Dean is making beautiful stainless steel tanks of around 60L capacity... bit bigger thaqn original, but a nice deal if you are not going down the restoration route. They are a well built, bolt in product - they come with all the hardware, even fuel sender. Marty gets busy, so it can take some months to get a tank. They are not cheap, but I believe good value - even if I could weld to that standard, the time and materials to make one would be more than Marty charges. He organised freight to NSW for me, can't remember which courier but it arrived well and price was OK.

Thanks Harv, thanks bootlegger,

The tanks sound great and could be a good option - I will definitely chase up marty for my black car.
The wagon is not my car.It is a full restoration so really would be great to find original parts. The work that has gone into it is quite amazing! Will be great to see it on the road.
The bonnet bar and tank are really the only things left to find.

Will keep searching. Happy to pay for the right bits!
Cheers,
Andy.

This guy on Gumtree is selling an FB bonnet for $30. Looks like it is still has the bar.

Maybe give him a call and ask him if the bar is OK and get him to take it off.

I've spoken to him about the bar on that bonnet already, (yep I'm looking for one to) he said it is pretty rusted out.
Can an FB bonnet bar be rewelded and repaired?? I remember reading somewhere the EK was cast but the FB was of fabricated??

My understanding is that FB was pressed and EK was cast.

Samprinci was going to start reproducing them at one stage. Not sure what happened with it.
