Brake Caliper Dust Boot

Just wondering which is the correct way for the dust boot to sit on the piston.

like the top pic I tend to put the dust boot in the grove in the caliper and use compressed air (turn the reg down 15 psi ish) to expand the boot over the piston then push the piston back in.
