Hi everyone

When installing stainless gutter moulds is there a bead of sealer or drip check run along the top or inside of the gutter?

Apart from laying down plenty of masking tape any other tips or traps for new players...

No sealer goes on the moulds.

OK...when I took them off there appears to be the remains of some sort of dried up caulking compound or mastic up inside the stainless... :econfused:

I'll try and post up some pics tonight.

I've put Butyl Mastic up under the top edge along the whole length of the trim. This stuff is a great sealer, it doesn't trap moisture like silicone, and it cleans up very nicely with prepsol. So you won't harm the paint with seam sealer or thinners.

Does anyone know if the 'tabs' on the stainless moulding for an EK wagon fit inside the gutter channel or 'over' the gutter channel?

I'm thinking they fit inside the channel...but if so it's a devil of a job to get it to fit...and then there is the main stainless mould as well...

Bit late to help but I had a hell of a job putting that mould back on my wagon, it has to be original as to go back on. One other problem I had was for clips to hold the mould running down the back above the rear side windows. Managed to get a plastic clips which held great and tight but do not dare to try to remove any of it.
