What colour horn caps are available?
From what I have read through the forum via the search option there are only green and blue stars? I can't tell the difference in the two that I have whether they are both green or one is blue and the other green???!!!
Reason I ask is I would be prepared to swap one for another colour, depending if there are other colours ...
Cheers.

You haven't heard of the rare & elusive FB nitro horncap. These were on the early FB's painted with nitrocellulose paint
These ones have a gold instead of silver ring & logo
Here is the one on my FB:
There's good news & there's bad news.
The bad news, nobody is likely to swap one of these as they are pretty hard to come by in good condition.
The good news, yours can be stripped & repainted in any colour you like

Forgot...the blue ones are obviously blue. You seem to have two green ones there.
The blue ones are really very, very 'blue'.
Here is a green one in a 62 EK I owned a few year's back. Most EK's have green.
The one in my early 61 cameo beige EK is probably a carry-over from the FB production, see how blue it is?
My favourite has to be the blue

Thanks Alan. Brilliant
Looks like I'll have to customise one of the green ones ...

This was a hot topic in the FB EK club of Vic when it first started back in the 80's.
Here's what we agreed on back then.
There were 4 colors of the Southern Cross stars sin teh horn button seen
Green - common
Blue - not so common
Yellow - rare
Red - very rare
Maybe some of teh experts that have been into the cars all the time may offer some value to this as a rule of thumb?
Cheers

Never heard of them before. Always learning something on this forum.
Has anyone seen one?

Sorry to bring this thread up again but does anyone know the paint codes for the horn buttons i.e. the blue, green, gold, black and grey?
Thanks.

Obviously been discussed/covered/attempted before?
I have stripped one down and thought to try to replicate the colours. If they aren't identifiable/available I think I'll just do a custom job to match the ute.
Cheers.

Sorry for my comment. That was a bit unfair
It's possible that the info is out there somewhere.
It would look very cool painted to match your car

All good Alan ... didn't take offence at all. I'm learning how difficult some of these things can be and how to find alternative solutions
