Hi Guys,
Just wondering if anyone could provide me with a measurement of the distance from the front bolt holes to the front edge of a bench seat at full adjustment forward.
Trying to work out shifter placement and size of scallop cut into bench seat, but don't have a bench seat to measure as yet.
Thanks.
Mark

I'm not 100% Mark, but our wagon is fitted with a Holden 1 Tonner floor shifter.
These were designed to clear a bench seat, which it does in our Wagon, but the seat still cannot go ALL the way forward :(
Not that it has been an issue......my 5 foot fkall missus can still drive it no worries with the seat around half way forward.
So unless ya really vertically challenged  one of these would be a good fitment, if you can find or copy one.

All the best...........Bob.

Hi Chopped,
I am using a B&M shifter on a trimatic box. The shifter fully back, is about 600mm from the step up in the floor toward the back of the van. The shifter can be moved forward a little if needed. To be honest I am not sure if I will be able to find a bench seat and get it to cairns and reupholstered for less than $1500.
SO
I am looking at options---
1. Holden rodeo bench seat, already scalloped out to suit shifter
2. Bucket seats.

At this stage $1500 is just to much to spend on a seat, advice or options are welcome.
Cheers Mark

If you are using an auto with a B&M shifter then the shifter can be moved. I am using a Quicksilver shifter with a full bench on my FE with full seat travel.

Cheers mate thanks,
I noticed you had a lot of input to the FEFC forum regarding 2 speed wipers.
From the reading I have done, the most common or easiest conversion is a VN motor to FB or EK backing plate to the 2 speed switch (with a number of aftermarket switches available).Castlemain, ash down ingram
Is this correct :?
Cheers Mark

MMMMMMMMM :?
B&M shifters can be mounted anywhere.....on the roof even, if you were keen
Would seem a lot easier and cheaper just to move it forward a few inches :?:

The easiest conversion is the one that you buy pre-made, I have an EK 2 speed in my FE that I bought from mcl1959 on the FE/FC Forum.
