I got a 3.36 to go in my ek but the yolk is different and cannot attach to the tail shaft. I went to change over the yolks but they dont match one has coarse spline and one has fine spline. Any suggestions on a correct yolk or do you need to change the tail shaft to suit the 3.36

The diff flanges could be different as you say, you really only need to change the uni joint from the cap style on the old diff to a round cup style with u bolts.

And the later uni's are cheaper
