lowering the front end

Post by 63eh »

Hey all, ive lowerd the rear end of my EH using 2 inch lowering blocks and need to get the front end down to match, was thinking of getting the springs reset but not sure how to work it all out, does anyone no the right length the spring should be to lower it 2 inches? I no it depends on the spring sag, angles etc... just thought someone may have done it all already :D :D :D

There are so many variations, I've seen an early Holden with 2 inch lowered blocks, and 2 inch lowered springs sit 100mm higher in the front.
you need to decide which spring combo you want to go with install it and get out the tape measure and see what sits right.
Then cut coils off

Ha, the thoughts crossed my mind, I dont think we can get away with that here though, I think i might just have to splash out and buy some new super lows springs and hope there right, what the hell right the budgets long gone out the window

If you call peddlers, or king springs etc etc they should be able to give you a 'hub to guard' measurement..

yeah best speak to spring Co's don't know what yor options are over there, they should just about have something over the counter
or you could pull yor springs out and cut 1,1/4 - 1,1/2 coils off but this is the shonky method, works for me though :ewink:
sometimes yor just better off shitting in yor hands and clapping
