I think they will look awesome

Someone put a lot of effort into the resto with details like pearling the handbrake handle to match the steering wheel. Very nice.
Are you going to paint the whole caravan red, or a lighter colour with a red accent, like a stripe or something, to match the car?

g'day and welcome.
I've seen your EK with FB trim for sale on Ebay a couple of times over the last few years.
Here's a pic from 08 in Brisbane for your interest.

Hey Paul, great detective work, I was hoping someone may know the car, I would love to get a bit of history on it, I was told a family man traded it on the goldcoast, because he had to buy one of those import family vans- but Im not sure how true the story is (came from the caryard salesman) but we saw it and just loved it, it will really compliment the van well, at this stage the van will be predominately cream with a matching red stripe of some description, we are still toying with a few different options.
Any further knowledge on the car would be much appreciated, thanks Nicole.

The bloke in 08 was the one that did it up. I think I recall becuase he wanted to start a family. He painted it with a little beaver electric spray painting kit. I was after a modified EK but was turned off by the EK with FB trim...It is still a nice looking car, it's just not me.
Someone bought it and turned out to be full of shit , so they re advertised it.
I'm sure I saw it for sale in 2010 again as it is very districtive in color & style. It was being sold for a reasonable price.
I think it was bought on a whim by the previous buyer.
Enjoy your car.
Cheers

Hi again Paul, thanks for that, Ide love to find out the exact paint colour name/code, so the van will be the right shade of red too, any ideas on the best way to do that??? you dont happen to have any way to contact the guy that painted it ???
***regarding the EK with FB trim...thats what really nailed it for me!!! I have always just prefered the EK, the subtle differences from the FB, I really liked, BUT I love the FB chrome, so when I spotted this one and to top it off...IN RED, I was sold- I just had to have it !!!
dontcha just love that they are all the same car, but they all look so incredibly different, depending on the owners taste and creativity !!!
Oh and thanx for the nice welcome everyone, this is a great site !!!
cheers Nicole

Take your glovebox door off and take it to a professional paint supplies shop , they will be able to eye match it .

Hi Nicole,
I agree with the other member who suggested that you take your glove box door into an auto paint shop.
Also tell then what surface you will be painting as it will have a bearing on what type of paint is best
The owner that was selling it in '08 was the guy who painted it. He'd painted it with a 'Little Beaver' home handiman spray unit. When he had it for sale, he also had photos of it being done up. He painted it in his garage.
Like I said, I was after a modified one but really couldn't get into the FB/EK look of it and couldn't be bothered pulling the FB trim off and repainting it. That's not to say it isn't a very appealing car, just not me (At the moment)
Plus the cost of shipping it down to Melbourne.
cheers!
