I'm also looking for engineers in SA....it seems Perth has a list on their website with phone numbers and all but nothing for SA's website.......I know for sure I'm gonna need one (complete driveline change, new trans tunnel, steering change etc)
Any one got somewhere to start ??

i had my ek insured with shannons for 20k told them it was fuel injected 202 and not approved
they said thats ok we are not cops and would still honour the insurance if anything ever happened :D :D
Have to agree with the others, these insurance sales reps will say anything to sign you up   If I was you ring again to confirm what they told you then ask for an email address so you can email the question so you'll have it in writting

Bet you don't get them to commit in writting

Hi guys,

I see the last conversation on this was a few years ago and I was just wondering where the fish flops now days in regards to SA's laws and going through Regency.
I'm thinking of putting a red motor, Hr disc front with rack and pinion, Hr drum rear, auto trans, lowered springs and retractable seat belts into an FB? Does it need to be engineered and does Regency check the whole car over while it over the pits? Any advice would be great.

My FE has been on the road for around 10 years and has most of the mods you mention, back then I didn't need an engineer, best to call Regency though to be sure.
You'll need to fill out a application to modify form anyway to do the mods legally.

Thanks Stinky, I will get that form and do it all legal as I don't want to void my insurance if something goes wrong.
