We have been booked at Coaster's since late last year in a two bedroom family room. We are unable to attend the Nats as we have moved up north to Mackay.
In January, I informed Richard the operator of the Motel of this inability. Even though he has rebooked the room he has only agreed to repay $300 of the $400 payed. That's $100 he made from us for not coming within 1500kms of his motel, and he has still booked the room out.

If your staying with him, just be very carefull, he is a very sly operator.

I don't know what the law is up there in Qld, but from what I know you should be entitled to a 100% refund, especially with the amount of notice you gave them. I'd push the issue.

Still amazes me how some business owners are so thick that they think they can make up their own laws.
