Just when i start making some headway in repairing the ute i hit a big road block. The lower control arm pivot shaft is bent at both ends. I have the control arm off but now i don't know whether to change the whole front end or try and renew the pivot shaft. I'd like to just renew the pivot shaft because i'm lazy but i have no idea where to locate the tool required for the job.
Any ideas?
Better yet anyone have the tool?

Cheers guys

New question: I have read my manual and understand how to remove the pivot shaft, but will turning it clockwise from the rear push it out the front of the crossmember? (meaning it is normal thread) or will turning it clockwise from the rear pull it out towards the rear? (meaning its reverse thread)

I need to know which way it is going to go so i know which end to cut off (as they are both bent) and which one to grind 2 flats sides on to grip with a mighty wrench
